A Man Named Justice
There once was a man named Justice
Who vowed to serve and protect
Wearing proud a uniform of blue
Selfless service he must project
He came across a man of color
Not what he normally saw
This was a man with no malice or intent
But stop Justice became enthralled
This man by which did not look dim
But he stood proud and stout
Justice became filled with fear and envy
And took his weapon and waived about
Now this man who was proud and stout
Did no wrong and yet could not believe
That Justice he was taught to honor
Had acted in a manner he could not conceive
Justice grew with fear and rage
And demanded this man's pride
Forcefully shouting and aiming
While the proud and stout man cried
Asking for protection and rightful service
But just that he was denied
Justice became judge and jury
And laid this man on his side
He did not have guilt or shame
For his actions through fear were justified
No jury would convict Justice
They will just justify how he rightly died
There is so much injustice in this nation. It sad that you would need to write a poem like this, but it is well written.
